Construction testimonial: Gibraltar Projects build for Groupe Denux in Point Trotter
Greg Zaugg of Gibraltar Projects, a construction firm specializing in construction management and general contracting, managed the construction of an eleven-bay (two building, 7 bay in one and 4 bay in the other) lease site in Point Trotter industrial park for the family-owned and operated developer Groupe Denux.
During the construction process, Zaugg worked closely with The City’s real estate development team, who worked diligently to facilitate a smooth process and a successful outcome.
“We had a strong working relationship with The City,” says Zaugg. “It was Gibraltar’s first time working with a municipal developer, and we were impressed. They were responsive and professional at each step along the way.”
“It worked well to have The City take care of driveway and service connections,” adds Zaugg. “The work was done right with frequent and open communication to resolve any issues that arose.”
At the approvals stage, prior to Gibraltar’s involvement, The City also added value to the project by catching a grading issue that required a redesign to match the adjacent lot, saving potential future headaches. There were also regular check-ins as the vertical build progressed to ensure there were no issues.
Would Zaugg work with The City again? His quick response: “no question.”
