Most pharmacies accept expired and unused portions of drugs and medication for safe disposal.
Contact your local pharmacy in advance to ensure that they will accept drugs and medication or visit the Alberta Pharmacists' Association for a full list of participating pharmacies.

Do not dispose of medicine in the garbage, compost or down the sink or toilet as it can be harmful to the environment.
