Site contamination policy

In 1996, the Environmental Development Review Policy was approved by City Council. This policy contained the following guidelines:

  1. Interim Policy For Site Contamination And The Land Use Redesignation And Development Permit Approval Process
  2. Interim Policy For Site Contamination And New Suburban Areas, Subdivisions And Area Redevelopment Plans

This policy was created to address site contamination as part of the planning approvel process for development applications.
