Ball scramble
Safety Tip: Find a large open space so you can move around freely without slipping or hitting anything. Make sure you're practicing physical distancing with people outside of your household (stay 2 metres or 6 feet apart).
Supplies
- Open space (e.g. living room, kitchen, basement, backyard)
- 2 or more players
- Masking tape
- 5 balloons of the same colour per player (if you don't have balloons, use scrunched up coloured paper)
Directions
Step one
Mark off a large circle in the open area - the larger the circle, the more challenging and fun.
Step two
Each player chooses 5 balloons (or scrunched up paper) of the same colour. Make sure the balloons are inflated and place them anywhere inside the circle.
Step three
One player announces 'ready, set, go'. All at once, each player tries to kick their balloons out of the circle. The goal is to get all the balloons or balls out of the circle first. The first person to get all their balloons out of the circle wins.
Step four
For added fun and challenge:
- Players can try to get their balloons out of the circle while blocking opponents’ balloons from leaving.
- Playing outside can add elements like wind or terrain that make it more exciting and provide different challenges.
