Learn to skate at our arenas

  • Skating lessons

    Lessons for all ages who want to gain confidence on the ice and improve technique while learning to skate. Lessons are at select arenas only.

  • Recreational hockey and ringette lessons

    Non-competitive hockey and ringette lessons focusing on skating, drills and scrimmages. Lessons are at select arenas only.

  • Figure skating lessons

    Lessons for experienced skaters with strong forward skating skills, who want to learn figure skating moves. Lessons are at select arenas only.

Drop-in for indoor skating or hockey

  • Public skate

    Public Skate is for all ages to enjoy skating.

  • 50+ leisure skate

    This leisure Skate is for 50+ who enjoy skating. Come out to exercise or socialize.

  • Sticks, pucks and rings

    Bring your stick and puck or ring and work on your stick handling and shooting skills.

  • Drop-in hockey

    Drop-in hockey is a pick-up game played by those in attendance. All levels of play are welcome.

    Adult drop-in hockey spaces can be reserved online.

    We have free public skating for all ages on our outdoor rinks.

  • Ice trails

    We have two free and fun ice trail destinations for Calgarians. Trails are available from mid-November to mid-March.

  • Ice bikes

    Located at Bowness, Ice bikes offer a safe, stable alternative for all ages and skill levels. If you’re not a strong skater, you can still join in and have fun on the ice.
