Eau Claire Plaza
About the park
The Eau Claire area takes its name from the Eau Claire Lumber Company, which once operated a sawmill on the site. The plaza is a popular gathering space for Calgarians and visitors year-round.
Eau Claire Plaza was redesigned as part of the Eau Claire Public Realm Improvements project, supporting more versatile, year-round activities and improving accessibility and flood resiliency. Reopened in summer 2025, the updated design embraces everyday community use, social interaction, and cultural events, while also offering spaces suitable for hosting larger events and festivals.
