In this engaging session, fifth and sixth-grade students will unleash their inner animal whisperer by honing their observation skills and decoding the secret language of cats and dogs. Hosted by the dynamic team from the City of Calgary's Animal Care and Pet Licensing department, our workshop combines education, entertainment, and essential life skills.
Developed by certified teachers seasoned in creating a blend of fun and education, the workshop guides students through the scientific method. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, young minds will discover animals' cues to communicate. Get ready to observe, infer and unleash your scientific superpowers!

By the end of our session, students will be equipped to decipher animal communication, confidently navigate tricky situations, and provide evidence to support their chosen actions.
We offer in-school programs for up to 32 students per session, tailored to fit your school's needs. With flexible scheduling on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, each session requires a purr-fectly timed 1.5-to-2-hour slot.
