Blakiston Park
Investing in Blakiston Park
Blakiston Park's redevelopment is part of The City's Brentwood Station Area Redevelopment plan, that sets the vision for making Brentwood a more sustainable, vibrant and mixed-use urban community.
Preliminary planning work was conducted by the community in 2009 and The City undertook public engagement in 2014 and 2015 to help gather feedback from citizens on a new design for the park.
A final version of the Design Development Plan is now available.
A high level concept video is available for an at-a-glance view of the new park design.
Public Engagement
Through the public engagement process, a wide variety of perspectives and insights were gathered. We appreciate the meaningful feedback and discussions that helped inform the final park concept, which will enhance the community for generations to come. A detailed report outlining the engagement process and accompanying feedback is available.
Thank you to all the groups and individuals who participated, including:
- Area residents
- Neighbouring landowners
- Customers from the nearby C-Train station and shopping centre
- Ward 7 Councillor Druh Farrell
