Whether you’re booking ice time or attending an event, we’ve outlined important rules and guidelines for using City arenas that help us maintain clean, safe, and well-managed facilities for all users.

Our lessons help all skill levels and ages learn the fundamentals of skating or playing hockey. Lessons are at select arenas only.

We have arenas at locations across Calgary. They can be booked for games, practices, parties and special events.

Select arenas have meetings rooms that you can book for meetings, coffee chats and events.

Off-season (April to August)
During the off-season, Wally Kozak (Arena #2) is open for dry-pad (non-ice) activities like lacrosse, ball hockey and private events. Day camps are also hosted on this site.
Off-season hours fluctuate. Please check Dry Pad availability for times.

Village Square Arena #1

- Rink size is 185' x 85'
- 120 person spectator capacity
- Elevated viewing deck located between ice surfaces
- Wheelchair accessible
- Accessible entrance onto ice
- Cold drink vending machines
Wally Kozak (Arena #2)

- Rink size is 200' x 85' (NHL size)
- 50 person spectator capacity
- Elevated viewing deck located between ice surfaces
- Wheelchair accessible
- Dry slab available for ball hockey and lacrosse in the summer months
- Accessible entrance onto ice
- Cold drink vending machines
For your safety and enjoyment helmets (CSA approved) are strongly recommended for all participants during ice activity and in particular for children and youth.
