How to dispose of plastic compostable cutlery

Put into your black cart
Put plastic cutlery labelled as "compostable" into your black cart as garbage. This includes compostable forks, spoons, straws and knives.
If you live in an apartment, condo, townhouse or other multi-family complex, check with your compost collection company to see if they accept compostable cutlery.
Why can't this be composted?
Though marked "compostable", this cutlery won't break down quickly enough for The City's composting and will contaminate the finished compost.
