How to dispose
There are three ways to dispose of plumbing parts and pipes depending on whether you have small or large quantities.
Small quantities of plumbing parts

Put into your black cart
Put small quantities of plumbing parts into your black cart as garbage.
Pieces must be less than:
- 15 cm (six inches) in diameter
- 1.25 m (four feet) in length
- Make sure the lid of the cart can close
Large quantities of plumbing parts

Take to a City Eco Centre
Take large quantities of old and used plumbing parts to a City Eco Centre for disposal – charges will apply.
- If you separate out metal-specific parts, they can go in metal recycling.

Take to a special drop-off location
Take scrap metal to a participating retailer for recycling. Some private companies may buy scrap metal, charge a fee or accept items for free. Find options at The Yellow Pages under Metal Recycling or contact these local metal recyclers:
