A lifelong Calgarian, Kim earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary in 2007. She has a diverse professional background, ranging from working in the insurance industry to owning a performing arts business. Kim has worked professionally at senior levels in both the federal and provincial government. Her experience in policy development and community services has given her insight into how our governments work and positions her well to advocate for the needs of her community.
Kim is actively engaged in her community. She enjoys volunteering and performing with a local ballet society, contributing to her church, and supporting the Calgary soccer community. Passionate about civic engagement, she is committed to working with Calgarians to address the issues that matter most to the city and its future.
As the City Councillor for Ward 1, Kim is Vice-Chair of the Community Development Committee, Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Emergency Management Committee. She is also part of the Nominations Committee, Werklund Centre Advisory Committee, Rockyview County & Calgary Intermunicipal Committee, and sits on the Calgary Arts Development Board.
Kim lives in Ward 1 with her family and is a dedicated community leader and advocate. As the City Councillor for Ward 1, she is committed to bringing positive change to Calgary.
