Council and Committees
Written submission: Community members can submit their comments and opinions through the Public Submission form to be included in the meeting agenda.
Request to speak: Residents can register to speak, either in person or over the phone.
Watch live: Stay informed by attending in person at City Hall or virtually. You can also watch replays.
To facilitate participation, the City will validate parking or provide complimentary transit tickets for those attending in person.
Development Permits
Development Map (DMAP): An online interactive map to view proposed developments in your area and provide feedback on active applications.
Public Hearings: Participate in Council to voice your opinion and concerns.
Appeals: If you disagree with an approved development permit, you have the right to appeal within 21 days of the decision.
Engage Calgary
Online: Explore active projects open for public input, track the progress of ongoing projects, and review results of previously conducted engagement.
In-person: Visit a project's engage page for information on in-person opportunities
Community Associations
Attend a meeting: These volunteer-led organizations serve as a representative voice to the City for neighbourhood specific issues, advocating for the needs and aspirations of a community.
Reporting concerns
City Services, Infrastructure and Information
311 Calgary: File a service request online, on the app, or by calling 311.
Whether it's reporting potholes, issues with waste collection, bylaw enforcement, maintenance at City parks, etc. submitting a 311 Service Request is the best place to start for most concerns or getting information on City services.
Your report will be sent directly to the appropriate team to address the issue. If you do not hear back within the provided timeframe, you can share your SR# with the Ward 10 Office for further escalation.
Public Safety
Traffic Service Request: To report an ongoing traffic concern related to speeding, school/playground zones, pedestrian/intersection safety issues, etc. submit a Traffic Service Request (TSR) to the Calgary Police Service.
Non-Emergency Line: Complaints, where a specific violator or license number can be identified, should be referred to the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 for appropriate dispatch response.
Transit: To report a Transit safety concern text 74100 or use the help phone/button on CTrains and platforms.
Homelessness Outreach
The City of Calgary Police Service, Bylaw Service, and Transit Service are partnered with the Alpha House Society to help reduce the impact of homelessness on communities.
