Transit
Operating a fully accessible fleet of buses and CTrains (Calgary’s version of light rail transit), Calgary has 150 bus routes and 45 CTrain stations across the city, providing upwards of 100 million trips annually.
Transit guidelines and considerations
- Filming on City busses, CTrain cars and platforms is permitted during off-peak travel hours including Monday to Friday, before 6 a.m., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and after 6 p.m., or any time on weekends and statutory holidays.
- Filming on Transit property, including parking lots and bus depots require additional coordination and safety precautions.
- “Filming in Area” signage is required for all productions.
- Depending on the location and filming schedule, Transit Peace Officers and/or a Transit Supervisor may be required.
- To ensure the safety and security of Transit employees, members of the public and the film crew, rules of each transportation mode must be observed.
