Golf course no-shows and penalties
12-hour cancellation and ‘No-Show’ policy
At The City of Calgary Golf Courses there are a limited number of tee times available and a high demand for those times. We understand sometimes unexpected things come up and get in the way of a good day on the golf course. If your plans change, we simply ask that you let us know so others can play.
You are responsible for all tee times booked under your account. To avoid being penalized for a ‘No-Show’ ensure all members of your group are aware the 12 hours cancellation policy. You are able to reduce players, or cancel your booking online up to 12 hours prior to tee off. Cancellations or modifications less than 12 hours can be made by calling clubhouse and may be subject to no show policy.
If you fail to cancel or honor your tee time reservation you may be assessed a ‘No Show’ penalty which will result in immediate suspension of online booking privileges for 14 days. Cancellations or modifications less than 12 hours can be made by calling clubhouse and may be subject to no show policy.
No-Shows will not be assessed if conditions are deemed unplayable and the course is closed.
No-Show or late cancellation penalties
A minimum of 12 hours’ notice is required to cancel your tee times. If you cancel with less than 12 hours’ notice you may be subject to the ‘No-Show’ penalty. Penalties will be imposed at the discretion of golf administration.
Examples:
- Booking for 1 to 4 golfers and no one checks in
- Checking in with fewer golfers than were booked
- Late cancellations less than 12 hours prior to tee time
Golfers will receive an automated email notification when a No-Show mark is applied to a reservation.
ONE No-Show mark may result in the immediate suspension of access to the online reservation system for 14 days. Additional No-Shows may result in escalated suspensions up to and including seasonal/permanent blocks. Penalties will be imposed at the discretion of golf administration.
When a golfer is suspended from the online reservation system, any future reservations will remain in place but must be edited or cancelled by calling the clubhouse.
Late check-in
All golfers must check in with the cashier a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your tee time or the time may be given to walk-on players. To avoid disappointment, please check in well in advance.
Inclement weather
Weather patterns can change quickly and vary significantly across the city. Conditions can improve quickly, don’t miss out on a potential great day of golf.
If you do not intend to play, please let us know as soon as possible. Avoid possible ‘No-Show’ penalties by canceling your booking a minimum of 12 hours prior to your tee time.
