Tee time policies

Zero tolerance

The City of Calgary Golf Courses are committed to providing a safe, respectful environment for all staff and customers. No physical or verbal abuse will be tolerated.

Golf Course Ambassador authority

Golf Course Ambassadors have the authority to control speed of play and enforce all facility policies and procedures. In consideration of other players, ambassadors are authorized to control speed of play by requesting that players maintain the daily pace (i.e. skip a hole). The City reserves to right to create complete foursomes for the purpose of speed of play.

Valid ID for reduced rates

To receive discounts in 2024 (i.e. Easy Golf, Mi7, Junior or Senior rates) you must present your valid ID at check-in.

Alcohol

Only alcohol purchased at the golf course is permitted on the golf course. Any outside alcohol will be confiscated.

Minimum age requirement

Children under the age of 4 years are not permitted on The City Golf Courses.

Dress code

City golf courses are casual. Collared shirts are not required, but please be respectful and avoid any clothing that is revealing or offensive.

Here are some suggestions:

  • Comfortable long pants, capris, skirt, dress, or shorts with pockets.
  • A stretchy shirt that moves easily with you.
  • A jacket or pullover in case the weather changes.
  • Golf shoes with soft spikes, running shoes, or soft soled shoes.

Foursome players

Maximum number of players per tee time is four players.

Golf clubs

If you have clubs, you should bring them but if you don’t have clubs, don’t worry, we have rentals available. Make sure you have plenty of tees and, most importantly, some golf balls. Balls and tees can also be purchased at the clubhouses. Take a ball mark repair tool with you to repair ball marks on the greens (see Etiquette Video). If you have rented clubs, make sure you return them to the clubhouse when you’re done.
