Some older adults haven’t used or aren’t yet comfortable using technology. New technology can be intimidating, but the best way to learn is to dive right in. Here are some resources, tools, and tips that will make it easier to enjoy the connections that technology makes possible. 

There are organizations that have tips, advice, support and programs for how to get online and access program, course and events you might want to participate in. 

• Cyber-Seniors: Connecting Generations offers free tech support calls from volunteers (844-217-3057), webinars and videos. 
• Deaf and Hear Alberta: Step Ahead Program connects cross-generational and tech-savvy volunteers with Deaf and hard of hearing seniors by through technology.
• GLUU Technology Society offers free digital skills training for all Canadian seniors on mobile devices, computers, wearables, smart home tech, or health technology.
• Connected Canadians  offers remote training and support over the phone or online (one on one or in a group) for technology basics, and gaming.
