Thank a City employee
How to send a compliment
Every day, City employees work across Calgary to keep our city safe, clean, and running smoothly. Your thanks helps us highlight the real impact employees have in our communities.
If a City employee helped you, showed kindness, or solved a problem, we want to hear about it. Your message helps us recognize their work and encourages a culture of service and care.
Use the 311 portal to share:
- A compliment or thank‑you message
- The employee’s name, if you know it
- Where and when the interaction happened
- What they did that stood out to you
We will pass your message to the employee and their supervisor.
Recently recognized employees / teams
Calgarians often share stories about City employees who make a positive difference.
Here are a few examples of recent compliments we have received.
I would like to compliment and have Richard recognized for the wonderful way he represents the City of Calgary. Richard came to my home for an electrical inspection, which I didn’t pass, and clearly explained the changes and timeline I would need to complete in order to pass next time. Richard called back halfway through the timeline to follow up on how the work was progressing. I really appreciate that level of customer service, and Richard was very pleasant to deal with.
I want to commend the crew that regularly maintains the baseball diamond at Woodview Dr and 24 St SW. The whole area is always well maintained and looks immaculate, plus the parks crew members are courteous.
Hello, I would like to compliment the Roads street sweeping team who’ve been out in our neighbourhood this year. They’ve done a superb job, and the streets have been thoroughly cleaned.
