Opportunities for students after school
Schools with available after-hours space can offer their facility to community organizations. These partnerships provide after school care and other programs targeted towards specific needs of students.
How schools and organizations connect
Organizations can request to offer after-school programs by submitting a completed application to Calgary Recreation’s Booking and Registration Client Support Office.
All programs and organizations have been pre-vetted by the City of Calgary and School Board Rentals staff.
For principals
Once an application is submitted, it’s forwarded to the school principal by their School Board Rentals office. Principals simply review the request and determine if space is available on the requested dates and times. They have full discretion to accept, decline, or negotiate program details such as space, days, and timing.
Principals can also take the initiative by browsing a list of pre-vetted organizations and programs available from your Rentals Office. If your school has available after-hours space, this is a great way to bring in enriching opportunities for students.
