Over the past several months, my office has heard from residents in Ward 2, including Nolan Hill and surrounding communities, about increased aircraft noise and changes in flight patterns. The Calgary Airport has provided us with further information, which we are sharing here to help clarify what has been happening and who is responsible for different aspects of airport operations.

Since 2024, we have been actively sharing information about the 144 Avenue North Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Functional Planning Study, and encouraging Ward 2 residents to participate and make their voices heard. This feedback is reflected in the Phase 3 What We Heard Report, and I’d like to sincerely thank participants for sharing your thoughtful input.

The Symons Valley Centre is a major City-led project located on seven acres of City-owned land at 251 Sage Hill Blvd NW, designed to serve the growing communities of Kincora, Sherwood, Sage Hill, Nolan Hill, and Evanston. The Centre will deliver long-awaited community amenities, including a new public library, alongside housing opportunities, and future transit access.
