Climbing is a low-impact sport that provides a full-body workout to improve strength, coordination, and cardiovascular health. In our lessons you will:

Fall registration dates
- 6 a.m. — Online (virtual waiting room opens at 5:30 a.m.)
- 8:30 a.m. — By calling the Customer Service Centre at 403-268-3800 (option 1)
- During business hours — At any City-operated Aquatic & Recreation or Arts facility

About our rock climbing instructors
Our trained, competent and knowledgeable instructors build a relationship with your child and foster a safe emotional and physical environment.
All staff are Certified with SFA/CPR/AED Level C.

What are rock climbing lessons like?
Our curriculum teaches the fundamentals of rock climbing through games, activities and lessons. Participants practice safety, belaying and climbing skills while exploring the bouldering and top rope rock walls. Classes typically run 45 - 60 minutes.
You will be challenged without peer or instructor pressure, just encouragement.

Come prepared
Proper climbing attire must be worn. Please bring:
- Clean, indoor athletic shoes that have not been worn outdoors.
- Athletic wear to allow for maximum movement.
- Closed top water bottle.
