Save all payment documentation, including receipts, cheques/money orders, bill stubs, and mortgage statements/confirmations. |
Own multiple properties or a condo? Pay the tax for each property using its unique roll number. For condos, each titled space (e.g., living space, parking, storage) has its own roll number and is considered a separate property.

Online banking, phone payments, and ATM / bank machine:
- Add “Calgary Property Tax” as the payee.
- For the account number, use the 9-digit roll number from your property tax bill. Don’t include any spaces or dashes.
- Follow your bank’s instructions to complete the payment.
Ensure adequate time for your payment to be processed and received prior to the deadline. Payments received after the deadline will be subject to a late payment penalty.
In-person at the bank:
- Take your tax bill(s) to the bank.
- Ask the bank teller to register the roll number(s).
- Make a separate payment for each roll number/bill you have.

Request a property tax refund
If you are the registered property owner and have a credit on your property tax account, you can request a refund.
Use the form linked below to submit your refund request. Attach a PDF or JPG file of your written request for a refund to ensure we understand the purpose of your submission. Include:
- Your name
- Daytime phone number
- Location address
- 9-digit roll number from property tax documents
- Refund request
- Amount to be refunded
If you received a Property Tax Reminder Notice advising of a credit on your account, please sign, scan and upload the notice.
When you have successfully submitted your request, the screen will display a success message. Print this screen for your records. You will not receive email confirmation.
