Anti-Racism Action Committee
Get involved
Members of the Anti-Racism Action Committee are a diverse group of Calgarians who have:
- Expertise in challenging systemic or structural racism
- Lived and living experience of racism and/or professional, academic or cultural expertise in anti-racism work
- The ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with community connections that can inform the Committee’s work
- An understanding of the present-day impacts of systemic racism and human and civil rights issues from historical origins
- An openness to supporting and leading anti-racism initiatives, people, and communities towards meaningful and positive change
- Knowledge and understanding of systems like education, health and justice in Calgary
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of intersectionality
