If you're a Calgary resident looking to save on soil amendments and fertilizers this spring, the City has you covered. The complimentary compost available to residents can be used in yards and gardens and is produced from food scraps and yard waste collected through the Green Cart program.

Compost will be available for pick up from April 15 to June 1, by online appointment only, at Shepard (South) and Spyhill (North) landfills.

  • Appointments will be released in time slots starting April 9 on this page. Check back on April 9, April 30 and May 14 to find newly released appointments, plus available time slots due to cancellations.
