Main construction
Main construction includes building:
- 16 kilometres of LRT track
- 10 stations
- Two Park and Ride facilities
- Shepard Maintenance and Storage Facility
- 28 Light Rail Vehicles
- Transit hubs, new roads and bus connections to stations
- Urban realm improvements including multi-use pathways
- Pathways across bridges at Bow River, Deerfoot Trail and Blackfoot Trail
- Two river crossings
- Guideway (elevated and at grade)
Main construction of the SE Segment, from Shepard to Event Centre/Grand Central Station, will begin in summer 2025.

Early works construction
Early works projects make way for the Green Line by relocating utilities, preparing sites for main construction, demolishing buildings and more.
Since 2017, Green Line has been doing projects in the southeast, Downtown and Beltline. Over $400M of early works construction is already completed or underway.
