Green Line stations are designed to prioritize safety and accessibility for all passengers

Features such as ramps, elevators, clear signage, and well-lit areas help ensure stations are easy to navigate and safe to use. Whether traveling on foot, with a mobility device, or with a stroller, passengers can expect a comfortable and accessible experience.

Station safety and accessibility features

1. Signage and wayfinding to help customers navigate the transit system.

2. Help phone that when activated, displays a video feed from the location to the Transit Control Centre.

3. Colour-contrasting bands on benches, multi-use poles and posts.

4. Canopies for shelter.

5. Continuous, clear path of travel.

6. Tactile walking surface indicators warn blind and low-vision passengers of the platform edge.

7. Inter-track barrier prevents crossing the tracks at any place other than a pedestrian crossing.

8. LED lights for a brightly lit station. CCTV cameras, a Public Address (PA) system, and passenger information displays will also be integrated with poles.

9. Heated, wheelchair accessible waiting areas with high contrast vision banding at eye level.

10. Inter-car barriers to help mitigate the gap hazard between trains.
