July 2026 Update

Construction of the 78 Avenue LRT bridge continued to make progress throughout July, bringing the project closer to the next major phase of work.

Crews are nearing completion of the bridge's retaining wall structures at both ends of the future bridge. Once this work is finished, crews will move on to preparing and reinforcing the bridge abutments, which support the bridge and connect it to the surrounding roadway.

Looking ahead, one of the project's most significant milestones is scheduled for next month when the bridge girders will be installed. These large concrete beams will form the main structure of the bridge span over 78 Avenue S.E.
