Eau Claire Market and River Run Condos demolitions

Green Line officially took possession of Eau Claire Market and River Run Condos on June 1 and immediately secured the buildings as we waited to complete the procurement phase to select a contractor to complete the demolition work.

Demolition was initially set to begin in September, but was put on hold when the Alberta government withdrew their funding commitment for Phase 1 of the Green Line LRT project on September 3, 2024.

The future of Eau Claire Market and any demolition plans are currently on hold while The City makes a decision on these properties.
