MSF Site Grading, Building Foundations and Utilities
The Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) will serve as the operational backbone of the Green Line LRT. This contract includes the site preparation, underground infrastructure, and foundation work needed to support future facility construction and long-term operations.
Scope of work
Work includes reshaping and grading the land, building retaining walls, creating five drainage ponds, and developing the Park and Ride area and other paved public spaces.
Crews will also install underground infrastructure, including utilities, power and communications systems, drainage networks, and stormwater infrastructure, while relocating or protecting existing services as needed.
Foundation work for the facility will include concrete structures and the underground systems needed to support the building, creating the base for future construction.

September 2026 update
Significant progress continues at the future MSF site as construction activities advance across multiple areas of the project. Building foundation work has seen substantial progress in recent months, with crews continuing foundation construction to support future facility development.
Installation of underground utilities and duct banks remains underway, helping establish critical site infrastructure ahead of future construction phases. Crews are also progressing excavation of the stormwater management pond and continuing backfilling activities for the mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining walls.
Construction will continue throughout the fall as foundation work, underground infrastructure installation, stormwater management features and retaining wall development move forward in preparation for future facility construction.
