MSF Structural Steel

The Structural Steel contract supports delivery of the Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) by providing the primary structural framework that will enable the facility to house, maintain, and operate the light rail vehicle fleet.

Scope of Work

The scope of work includes the engineering, detailing, fabrication, and installation of primary structural steel components for the MSF and includes in‑shop application of protective coatings, comprehensive quality control procedures, and adherence to all applicable codes and industry standards to ensure constructability, durability, and long-term operational performance.

Execution of the work will be closely coordinated with the other contractors that will oversee construction of the facility, with an emphasis on integrated planning and value engineering. This collaborative approach is intended to optimize material use, sequencing, and installation efficiency while supporting schedule and cost certainty.

August 2026 Update

Progress continues on the structural steel package for the future MSF. Supreme Steel has procured the majority of structural steel materials required for the project, marking a significant milestone in advancing the work from procurement to fabrication.

With material procurement substantially complete, fabrication activities are expected to begin in September. Fabrication of the structural steel components will support upcoming construction activities and help maintain momentum on the overall MSF program schedule. Work will continue over the coming months as steel members are fabricated and prepared for future delivery and installation on site.
