Local business feature - Crossroads Market
Since 1987, Crossroads Market has been providing Calgarians with a unique and welcoming shopping experience. Gerry Kendall, the founder of Crossroads market, wanted to provide an opportunity for small businesses to get more exposure in an affordable setting, helping them realize their dreams and potential.
With over 150 different vendors, the Crossroads Market has a diverse range of local shops for Calgarians; you can find everything from plants to specialty meats and meals, small gifts, thrift items and produce all locally curated.
“The market acts as a big support community for local businesses that everyone benefits from,” said Matthew McDonald, the CEO of Crossroads Market.
Green Line will have a station right by the Crossroads Market at 26th Ave SW Green Line Station, providing improved access for all Calgarians. “Its going to make the market more accessible to everyone, and that's why we really appreciate the Green Line team working with us,” McDonald explained.
From the beginning, Crossroads has valued keeping things simple and letting the diversity of the vendors and their products speak for their brand. With the goal of creating a relaxing shopping experience that encompasses the “can-do spirit of this ever-changing city and the people who call it home.”
Crossroads Market is open Friday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 1235 26 Avenue SE, you can’t miss the action from this market.
