Project Update - September 5, 2024

Dear Calgarians,

Yesterday, in response to the province withdrawing their funding of Phase 1 of the Green Line, from Eau Claire to Lynnwood/Millican, City Council made difficult decisions on the future of the Green Line LRT.

This was not the outcome that any of us would have hoped for and understand that the news is as hard for our supporters as it is our team.

As a next step, Green Line and City colleagues will return to Council on September 17, 2024 with recommendations on how to wind down the current Phase 1 project.

We know that you likely have a lot of questions and, as we have throughout the history of Green Line, we will keep you updated as we know more.
