Employer showcase
Showcase ongoing organizational opportunities, career paths and helpful information with:
Employer Spotlight
Be featured in the YEC’s monthly Employer Spotlight blog.
- Inform young people about company culture, job qualifications and available career opportunities.
Virtual Q&A or Panel
Talk to interested youth about employment opportunities.
- A virtual Q&A is often hosted in addition to an Employer Spotlight, or it can be utilized for ongoing in-demand opportunities and topics of interest.
It was a true privilege to be part of the Q&A information panel alongside Calgary’s leaders in hospitality management. The opportunity to share insights and connect with future professionals in our industry was both rewarding and inspiring.
Talent connections
What may seem like everyday knowledge can be valuable to a young person starting their career. Help youth explore possibilities, build confidence and better navigate their careers through:
Information Interviews
- Match with youth for a maximum one-hour conversation to offer advice and build insight.
Living Library
- Share your story and provide practical career advice. Funded through the RBC Foundation, take part in an upcoming Living Library.
Career Talks
- In collaboration with The United Way of Calgary, deliver career talks to youth in select high schools through Journey Forward.
Participating in the Living Library was a genuinely enjoyable experience. Getting to connect with such a diverse and engaged group, and share some perspective from the mechanical and construction space, was a real highlight. I still consider myself relatively early in my career, so the opportunity to give back to the next generation coming up in the industry means a lot.
