For the person seeking new inspiration, we have classes that merge different art mediums and concepts. Experimenting with a wide variety of materials will peak your curiousity and have you thinking outside of the box. Students will look at everything as a potential canvas.
Winter registration dates

Our instructors will provide assistance in using a variety of specialized tools and selecting materials to make cards for any occasion. All supplies are provided. Assistance will be provided as needed.
Age: 13+
Prerequisite: None

Preschoolers will use inspiration from nature such as bones, feathers and snowflakes to create artworks and grow their artistic abilities. Each week will focus on a new two- or three-dimensional medium. All supplies are provided.
Age: 4 - 5 years
Prerequisite: Must be toilet trained and comfortable not having a parent in the classroom

Taking inspiration from art around the world, kids will learn drawing, painting and sculpture. All supplies are provided.
Age: 7 - 10 years

Each week, you will learn about a famous historical or contemporary artist and create work inspired by them. You will use a variety of artist materials to create two- and three-dimensional pieces. All supplies are provided.

Kids will explore a new two- or three-dimensional art medium each week while learning techniques in drawing, painting printmaking and mixed media. All supplies are provided.
Age: 6 - 12 years

Each week, try out a new two- and three-dimensional art type with your preschooler to develop creativity and art skills. All supplies are provided.
Ages: 3 - 5 years + adult
Prerequisite: One-to-one parent to kid ratio

Preschoolers will explore different types of two- and three-dimensional art while developing artistic skills and growing their imagination. All supplies are provided.
Age: 4 - 5 years

Each week, your preschooler will be read a story and then create two- and three-dimensional art projects inspired by the characters and messages in the book. All supplies are provided.

A wide variety of mediums and materials will be available for teens to work on their own projects and ideas. An instructor will provide technique demonstration and creative guidance as needed. All supplies are provided.

Preschoolers will have creative fun while learning to use scissors, hold pencils and paintbrushes. They will create two- or three-dimensional artworks each week. All supplies are provided.

Kids will work in a small group to create a stop-motion movie using modelling clay and a tablet. All supplies are provided.
Age: 6 - 12 years

Kids will tap into their imagination and learn the value of upcycling to create mixed media artworks from household items. All supplies are provided.

About our art instructors
Our instructors are practicing artists that have formal art training and teaching experience. They offer their expertise in a variety of disciplines and enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities.
Our instructors ensure that classes are always fresh and challenging for new and returning participants. They adapt to students' needs and encourage them to try new ideas and methods.
What are classes like?
Students will experience a wide variety of artist mediums. Our studio is equipped with easels, tables and chairs so you can work comfortably seated or standing. We have drying shelves and studio storage for your work.
Classes usually begin with a topic discussion and technique demonstrations. Much of the class time will be practicing skills and applying what's been learned. Class length is determined by age group:
- All adult classes are two and a half-hour long
- School age children are 90 minutes long
- Preschool 60 minutes long
Come prepared
- Clothes that you're ok to get messy
- Closed-toed shoes
- Waterbottle
Unless otherwise stated in a particular adult class, supplies are extra and a shopping list of materials will be discussed during the first class. All tools and supplies for kids classes are included.
